RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE 1972 SALARY COMPENSATION PLAN
WHEREAS, Section 2.33 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Richfield provides
that the assignment of classes to pay grades , the number of steps in each grade ,
the bi-weekly rates in each grade, the method of normal progression through the pay
grade and the work week in hours for each class be established by council resolution,
and
WHEREAS, the city administration has prepared a 1972 pay plan for the position
classifications included in the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49
according to the terms of a two year agreement approved by the City Council on March
8, 1971, for the years 1971 and 1972
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the city council do and hereby does
establish for the year 1972 the following pay plan, which is to be effective on the
first day of the pay period closest to January 1, 197 2, and subject to the provisions
of the personnel rules and regulations ordinance.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that those employees who according to Council
Resolution No. 4519 were granted a bi-weekly salary higher than provided for in
the 1971 established pay plan shall be paid in 1972 the bi-weekly rate as estab-
lished in the 1972 pay plan subject to discussion between the City Manager and
the affected employees.
