RESOLUTION NO. 4600
RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED AND
ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT ROLL
FOR CITY PROJECT NO. 593
WHEREAS, the following construction was performed during the year 1970:
Storm sewer construction on Elliot Avenue; East 71st Street to East 71st Street;
East 71st Street, Elliot Avenue to 10th Avenue South; 10th Avenue South, East 71st
Street to East 72nd Streeto East 71st Street, 11th Avenue South to 12th Avenue South;
12th Avenue South, East 71st Street to East 72nd Street; East 72nd Street, Park Avenue
to 14th Avenue Southo 14th Avenue South, East 72nd Street to Diagonal Boulevard;
East 73rd Street, Park Avenue to 14th Avenue South
WHEREAS, city share of costs have been paid in the sum of $164, 684.23
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Richfield as follows:
1. That the cost of storm sewer construction in the above described area to be
specially assessed is hereby declared to be at least 20% of total- cost or $39,781.68
and therefore this sum will be assessed against privately owned property
'benefited thereby.
2. That said assessment shall run for a period of 20 years and include interest
at the rate of 6% per annum.
3, The city clerk shall forthwith calculate the proper amount. to be assessed
for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land
affected without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and he shall
file a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection.
4. The clerk shall notify the council upon completion of such proposedassessment.
