RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF LAND LOCATED AT 6345
PORTLAND AVENUE FOR PARK PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Hennepin
County, as follows, to-wit:
1. It is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient to the public
health, safety, convenience, prosperity and general welfare to acquire for
park and other municipal purposes the following described property, to-wit:
South 90 feet of N 1315 245/1000 ft. of W 289 24/100 ft.
of NW 1/4, except road, of Section 26, Township 28,
Range 24.
' 2. WHEREAS, the owners of such property have offered to sell the same
to the City of Richfield for the total sum of $11,500, including 1971 taxes
and unpaid special assessments on the property.
3. WHEREAS,. it is hereby determined that such offer is a fair and
reasonable price for the purchase of said property and the same is hereby
accepted.
4. The mayor,. manager, finance officer and attorney are hereby author-
ized and directed to -take such steps as may be necessary to effect the purchase
of said property.
5. All monies payable as part of the purchase price of said property
shall be paid out of The Special Revenue Fund.
Passed by the City Council of the Gity of Richfield this 26th day of
July, 1971.
