RESOLUTION APPROVING`PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ON ANNUAL
STREET IMPROVEMENT~AND OILING PROGRAM:AND ORDERING WORK
DONE BY DAY LABOR: (FOR STREETS'DEFERRED-FROM`COUNCIL
MEETING OF JUNE 14, 1971).

WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution designated as Resolution No. x+568 passed by
the City Cour}ci1 on.May 10, 1971, the City Engineer has prepared plans and speci-
fications for the improvement of public streets and°alleys; deferred from the Council
meeting of June l4, 1971, by penetration oiling; 2~'.bituminous stabilized base, and
bituminous seal coat,. and has presented such plans and specifications to the Counci]
for approval, and
WHEREAS, such improvement is in its entirety of a type which under Minnesota
law it is permissible for the city to construct by day labor; and ~ -
WHEREAS; this Council has heretofore advertised. for bids and awarded a contract
for certain of the bituminous'and. related materials needed in the making of such an
improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BENT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfields as
follows:
1. Such plans and specifications shall be given Clerk's File No. and the
same are hereby approved and ordered placed~on file.
2. The City Engineer-sha11 proceed under ~the-direction.of the City Council and
the City Manager:, as given from time~to time ;:to~carry:-on-al3=work~in connection-with
such improvement~•in accordance with the plans and specifications herein approved keeping
such account of all costs and. expenses incurred in connection therewith as may be re-
quired by law.:. ~ .
3. Financing. of said improvement~is~-to be°provided~by°transfer of monies-from-the-
Permanent Improvement Revolving Fund (PIR). Special Assessments hereafter levied by
reason of said improvements sha31-be used~as a source of-monies to repay said PIR Fund.
