RESOLUTION NO. 4583
RESOLUTION TO PARTICIPATE IN FEDERAL GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Richfield is the official governing
body of the City of Richfield; and
WHEREAS Hennepin County is submitting an application for a Federal Grant
under the Discretionary Grant Program, Title 1, Omnibus Crime Control and Safe
Streets Act of 1968 for upgrading the present Police and Sheriff radio communication
system to include mobile teleprinter operation; and
WHEREAS the various law enforcement jurisdictions in Hennepin County will
be participating in the use of the proposed system:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota that the City will participate in the system in accordance with the
provisions contained in the Federal Grant Program and will participate in the cost
sharing of the system in accordance with the amortized cost of Hennepin County's
participation over afive-year period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield that
should Federal funds be reduced or eliminated it is understood that local yearly costs
to each user will be increased in the same proportion as the percentage of reduction
of Federal funds.
