RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A POLICY TO. VECTOR AIR TRAFFIC SOUTH
FROM MPLS-ST . PAUL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT OVER LESS POPULATED AREAS
WHEREAS, it is the prese~,t practice at the Mpls.-St. Paul International
Airport to direct air traffic using runway #22 in a pattern of "natural dispersion",
and
WHEREAS, this practice results in aircraft flight patterns which are directed
over heavily populated areas , and
WHEREAS, it would be more advisable to delimit the dispersion of air
traffic to less populated areas commensurate with safety considerations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the G~ity Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota as follows:
That the Richfield City Council goes on record as supporting a policy which
would have air traffic using runway #22 at the`Mpls.-St. Paul International
Airport vectored south over less populated areas.
Passed by the city council of the City of Richfield this 2 7th day of
October, 1970.
