RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDiNG CONTRACT TO F. D. CHAPMAN
CON5T. CO., 1017 RHODE ISLANlD AVENUE NORTH, GOLDEN VALLEY, MINN.
FOR STORM SEWER CONSTRUCTION
CITY PROJECT NOS. 616 AND 617

EE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, as

1. That it is hereby determined that the bid~of the-F. D. Chapman Cons t. Co.,
1017 Rhode Island Avenue North, Golden Valley-, Minnesota, is the lowest bid by a
responsible bidder for-the construction of City Project Nos. 616 and 617. (City
Project No. 622, sanitary sewer correction at 64th Street and 5th Avenue is included
in the appurtenant work).
2. That the-bid of-the F. D. Chapman--Cons t-. Co. for~the construction of the above
referenced projects on a unit price basis, at the price contained in their proposal
of July 17, 1970, with an estimated construction cost of $97,902.80 is hereby accep-ted:
3. That the proposed- contract- between- the F. D. Chapman Consto Co, and• the City
of Richfield be given Clerk's File-No. - ~ 8252 and be placed on-file. That said ~-
proposed contract-for° the- construction--of~ said City-Pro~e~cts~•is-hereby approved and- -
adopted and•the Mayor and Manager are-hereby authorized and directed to execute said
~ contract far or on behalf of the City of Richfield and the Clerk is authorized and
directed to~affix the-City s~ea1 thereto.
4o That payments to be made under the terms of said contract shall be charged
against the Construction Fund c• ~ ~ ~ ~ -- •
5. That the Corporate Surety Bond in the sum of the estimated contract price
which accompanies said proposed contract is hereby-accepted-and-•approved:•
6. That the City Clerk is authorized and directed to return the security docu-
ments to the unsuccessful bidders upon the~execution•of said•proposed:contract.
