RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF LAND t~T
6415 PORTLAND AVENUE
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Hennepin County, as
follows, to wit:
1. It is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient to the public health,
safety, convenience, prosperity and general welfare to acquire for pant and other munia
pal purposes the following described property, to wit:
The West 289.34 feet of: The South 75 feet of that part of the W 1/2
of the NW 1/4 of Section 26, Township 28 N. Range 24 West, described
as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of said section
709.12 feet north, measured along the-west line of said section, from
the West 1/4 Corner of said section, thence east parallel with the east
and west center line of said section 964.125 feet, more or less, to a
point which is 320.43 feet west of the Narth and South center line of
the NW 1/4 of said Section 26, thence north 123.51 feet, more or less,
to a judicial landmark; thence north a distance of 176.49 feet, more
or less, along a-line which if produced would intersect a judicial
landmark 499.96 feet north of said first mentioned judicial landmark
and 319.81 feet west of the north and south center line of the NW 1/4
of said Section 26, to its-point of intersection with a line drawn
parallel with-the east and-west center line of said section and 1009.12
feet north of said east and west center line,-measured along the west
line of said section; which point.of intersection is the actual point
of beginning of the tract of land to be .herein.c~escribed; then continuing
north along said 499.96 foot line a distance of~150.feet, more or less,-
to its intersection-with a-line-drawn parallei°with the east and west
center line of said section 1159.12 feet north of-the said east and west
center line measured along the-west-line of said section; thence west on
said parallel line 959.94 feet more or less-to the-west line of-said
section; thence south along the.west°line of said section -a distance~of-
150 feet; thence east parallel to the east and west center line of said
section, a distance of 960_.45 feet more or less to the actual point of
beginning.

thence east parallel with-the east and west center line of said section
964.125 feet, more or less, to a point which is 320.43 feet west of the

north 123..51 feet, more-or less, to -a judicial landmark; thence north -
a distance of 176._49-feet, more or less, along a line which if produced

measured along the west line of said section; which point of intersection
is the actual point of beginning of the tract of land to be herein de-
scribed; thence continuing-north along said-49N.96 foot line a distance-of
150 feet; more or less, to its-intersection-with a line drawn parallel
with the east and west center line of said section 1159.12 feet north
of said east and-west center line measured along the west line of said
section; thence west on said parallel line 959:94 feet more or less to
the west line of said section; thence south along the west line~of said
section a distance of 150 feet; thence east parallel to the-east-and west
center line of said section, a distance of 960.45 feet more or less to the
actual point of beginning; except the South 75 feet thereof.
2. Whereas the owners..-of such property have offered to sell the same to the
City of Richfield for the-sum of $1$,901.28, it is hereby determined that such offer
is a fair and reasonable price for the purchase of said properties and the same is
hereby accepted.
3. The mayor, manager, finance officer and attorney are hereby authorized and
directed to take such steps as may be necessary to effect the purchase of said property.
4. A11 monies payable as part of the purchase price of said properties shall
be paid out of the Special Revenue Fund.
