APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF A
NEW USE OF TAX-FORFEITED LANDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota as
follows:
1. It is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient to the public health,
safety, convenience, prosperity and general welfare to use the following described
parcel of land, conveyed to the Village of Richfield on August 14, 1950, for park
purposes as well as for storm sewer basin purposes;
That part of Mud Lake Bottom lying within the East
three-quarters of North one-half of Northwest quarter
of Northwest quarter (E 3/4 of N 1/2 NW 1/4 NW 1/4) ,
Section twenty-six (26) , Township twenty-eight (28) ,
Range twenty-four (24) .
2. The Mayor and the Manager are hereby authorized and directed to make
application for approval of a new use of tax-forfeited lands, for such parcel,
inasmuch as such parcel was conveyed to the Village of Richfield (predecessor of
the City of Richfield) for the purpose of forming a portion of the storm sewer basin
and the city is now in the process of improving the area in which such tract is
located for park purposes as well as storm sewer basin purposes .
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield this 27th day of April,
1970,
