RESOLUTION No. 4338
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY INVOLVEMENT IN THE
GROUP TERM LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM OF HENNEPIN
COUNTY,
WHEREAS, the city administration has previously proposed that a term
life insurance policy in the amount of $3, 000 be provided for city employees
with the full premium to be paid by the city, and
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has the opportunity to participate in the
life insurance program as established by Hennepin County, and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County's program is that of a basic $5, 000 term
life and accidental death and dismemberment policy which is available at
a cost approximately equal to or less than a $3, 000 policy if the City of
Richfield were to purchase it independently.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city council does approve
provision of a term life insurance program as available through Hennepin
County to all eligible permanent full-time and permanent part-time employees,
with the City to pay the full cost of the basic policy premium, and does

as to make the program effective as soon as possible.
