RESOLUTION RELATING TO A REQUEST FORA SHORT TERM LEASE
FOR THE USE OF THE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AT THE NAVAL
AIR STATION
WHEREAS, It was announced that the Twin-City Naval Air Station would
be closed, and
WHEREAS, There are at the Naval Air Station recreational facilities
which could be of great benefit to the residents of the City
of Richfield, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Stanley W. Olson, in a letter dated October 31, 1969,
directed to the commanding officer of the Naval Air Station,
requested that negotiations begin on a short term lease for
the recreational facilities at the Naval .base.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Richfield, Minnesota, unanimously endorses the intent of the
mayor's letter and affirms an interest in the use of these.
