RESOLUTION RELATING TO RELEASE OF BOND ON OFF-STREET PARKING
Western Oil & Fuel Div. of
Continental Oil Co. --
1400 S. Lilac Drive, Minneapolis
Location: 7700 Lyndale Avenue South
Use: Remodel and rearrange existing
Gasoline Service Station
WHEREAS; Western Oil & F~ue1 Div: of Continental Oil Co., 1400 S. Lilac Drive,
Minneapolis, Minnescita, had~an off-street parking agreement with the City of Richfield
relating to 7700 Lyndale Avenue South, which contract bears the designation of Contract
No. 2022 and which contract was guaranteed by a bond of the-Great American Insurance
Company, New York, New York, in the sum of $5,200.00, and
WHEREAS, Western-Oil &-Fuel-Div. of Continental oil Co: has complied with the
provisions of said agreement and~the Great American Insurance Company now seeks to be
relieved of any further obligation under-said bond, and
WHEREAS, there appears to be no justification for requiring the Great American.
Insurance Company to continue to provide a bond for security on the performance of said
agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minn-
esota, as follows:
That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to release the Great American
Insurance Company for any and all acts of .Western Oil & Fuel Div. of Continental Oil Co:
committed or incurred. in violation of said Contract No. 2022, on and after the 27th day
of October, 1969.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Richfield this 27th day of October, T969.
