1969-4234r~~ RESOLUTION N0. 4234 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF GENERAL HOSPITAL BOND ISSUE WHEREAS, Hennepin County General Hospital provides emergency care of high quality to all residents of Hennepin County, and WHEREAS, Hennepin County General Hospital provides specialized hospital treatment of non-emergency needs to all residents of Hennepin County, and WHEREAS, Hennepin County General Hospital is one of outstanding medical teaching facilities in the United States and serves a vital roll in providing medical services of high quality throughout Hennepin County and beyond, and WHEREAS, the present hospital structure has become outmoded-and inadequate to continue to serve the essential roll that it provides, and WHEREAS,-the Board of Commissioners of Hennepin County has determined to submit a referendum to the voters of-the County on the question of whether the County should be authorized to issue bonds not to exceed 25 million dollars to finance the construction of a new modern general hospital; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota as follows: This council herewith wholeheartedly endorses the proposal to authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding $25,000,000 for the purpose of acquisition of facilities for a new General Hospital for this County.
