RESOLUTION COMMENDING RICHFIELD CIVIL DEFENSE VOLUNTEERS
WHEREAS, the City of Richfield has maintained a volunteer civil
defense department since 1942, and
WHEREAS, the civil defense volunteers have over these years performed
many ualuable services to the City of Richfield and the surrounding
community, and
WHEREAS., the civil defense volunteers specifically were commended
for their work during the 1969 April flood by the Minnesota Highway
Patrol;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, on behalf of the entire community,
that the City Council commends the Richfield civil defense volunteers
for their excellent contribution to the community and expresses its
sincere gratitude to each individual volunteer participating in the
civil defense program. Special recognition is given the Director,
Carlyle Kerich.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Richfield, Minnesota, this
14th day of July 1969.
