RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING ADVISORY YOUTH COMMISSION
B~ IT RSOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield as follows
l~. There is hereby established an Advisory Commission to be known as The
Richfield Youth Commission4
2 ~ Such Commission sha7.1: have twelve members, of which seven shall be
beyond high school age and five shall be of junior high and high school age;.
34 The members of such Commission sha1T be appointed by the City Council
and their terms shall be one year commencing February is t and terminating on
January 31st, providing that members shall serve until their successors are
appointeda Members shall be subject to removal by the City Council at any time,
~.~ The general purpose of such Commission shall be to advise the City
Council concerning provisions for youth activities and facilities for such
activitie s
5s Initially such Commission, when appointed, is requested to study and
advise the Counoil on the following mattersa
a® The desirability and feasibility of developing a Youth
Council somewhat similar to that established by the City
of Bloomington$
b® Continuing the already established summer employment service
for youths
ce The recreational and vocational needs of a71 junior high and
high school age young people for activities, programs or
facilitiesa
b. The City Manager shall provide staff assistance for such Commission:.
7~ Such Commission shall hold meetings at least monthly and shall submit
quarterly reports to the City Council6
