RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS FOR CONSENT TO
THE PROVIDING OF A SECOND SANITARY SEWER SERVICE BY THE CITY OF RICHFIELD
TO METROPOLITAN AIRPORTS COMk~ISSION PROPERTIES OUTSIDE THE CITY OF RICHFIELD
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Airports Commission and one of its prospective tenants
has made application to the City of Richfield for a second sanitary sewer c®nnectiora,
and
WHEREAS, it .appears that there is sufficient capacity in the sanitary sewer maims
of the City of Richfield to provide such service, and
WHEREAS, the contract of the City of Richfield with the City of Minneapolis, relating
to the interconnection .of sanitary sewers, provides that the City of Richfield shall not
serve areas outside its boundaries without the consent of the Citg~ of Minneapolis, and
WHEREAS, it appears that it would be mutually benefici~.l to the City of Richfield and
the Metropolitan Airports Commission for the City of Richfield to provide such sanitary
sewer service to the property involved;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, of the City of Richfield, Minn®
esota, as follows:
la The city manager is hereby authorized and directed to make written application
to the City of Minneapolis to obtain its consent for the City of Richfield to
provide sanitary sewer service to the following described property located outside the
City of Richfield and belonging to the Metropolitan Airports Commissioa~:
"That part of the SE's of the SW's of Seco 36, To 28, Ro 24, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at the So Wo corner of said
Section. 36, thence East a distance of 2686e1 feet to the quarter corner
of said Section 36, thence deflecting North at an angle 89®-52°54'° a dis®
tance 510', thence West at a right angle 33 feet to a point which is the
actual point of beginning, thence Forth 1350 feet, thence Southwesterly
1130 feet to a point 1075 feet North and 1855 feet East of the Southwest
cortaer of said Section 36, thence South 850 feet oar a line parallel to the
West line of said Section 36, thence East along the North right of way line
cf Highway X494 to the point of beginningo10
20 The manager and administrative staff of the city are hereby authorized to take
such other and further action as may be necessary in order to make such applications
to the City. of Minneapoliso
