RESOLU'STON ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON CITY PROJF~CT N0. 557
BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Richfield, I3ennep~,n County, Minne-
sofa, as.follows:
1. That the city clerk has, with the assistance of the city engineQr, calculatQd
the proper amounts to be assessed for the construction of storm sewer, pity Project
No. 557 against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land specially benefited
thereby in accordance with the provisions of law, and the proposed assessment .es
made up was filed with the city clerk for more than 15 days prior to the assessment
hearing and was open t® public inspection during said period
2a That notice has been duly published and a publio hearing heretofore duly he3.d
as required by law so that this council could meet and pass.-upon the prcposed asa~ese~
meat.
3o That an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to pxesez~t the;tx'
objections, if any to such proposed assessment. or to gray item thereof at said.
public hearing.
4• That the city council has heretofore duly established City Project Now 557
and after carefully considering all the facts, the benefits to each 7,at, piece or
parcel of land and fully advising itself in the premises, ha,s found d determined
and hereby declares that each and every lot, piece, or parae~, of laud ~.nclnded in
said proposed assessment roll was improved ~by reason of the c3onstrtaction of sa3,d
City Project 1Vo.. 557 and has been and is specially benefited in the aan~our~t set. cut
in said proposed-assessment roll opposite each such lot, piece or parcel of land.
5. The proposed total assessment in-the amount of $17,811.1 is herby aa~'firRaed,
adopted and confirmed and the sums fixed and named in sa~.d proposed assessment are
affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for .each o~ said:
lots, pieces, or parcels of land respectively, and said amount so set out is Hereby.
levied against each of the respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land therein described..
6. Said assessment is hereby affirmed, adopted, confirmed and shs,17. be certified by
the city clerk and filed in his office, and shall thereupon be and const~:t~t~ the
special assessment for said storm sewer construction, City Project No. 557.
7. The assessment with accruing interest, shall be a lien upon the.. property inoluded
therein, concurrent with general taxes, and shall be payable in equal annual instal.-
meats extending over a period of 2O years. The first installment shall be payable on.
the first Monday in January of 196. All assessments sha17~ bear interest at-the sate
of 6f per axa>:7.um. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entixe
assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1869, to each subse*+
quent installment shall be added interpat fox one year on ail-unpaid inatallanents.
All assessments and interest thereon shall be collected and paid-over in the same
manner as other municipal taxes. ~-
