RESOLUTION No. 4025
RESOLUTION RELATING TO COUNTY--WIDE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM
WHEREAS, North Star Research and Development Institute has completed
a comprehensive police radio survey and system design for. the County of "
Hennepin and all of its component communities, and
WHEREAS, it is to x]ae mutual benefit Qf each governmental unit to
have maximum emergency communication capacity to serve the needs of law.
enforcement, and
WHEREA5~ the North Star report and subsequent discussion has proposed
a formula for the implementation and financing of the sysfiem, and
WHEREAS, the County of Hennepin agrees to purchase the central inter-.
system base station equipment and all of the mobile units to be.utilized
by the participating 3urisdictions, and
WHEREAS, each of the participating communities will purchase base
station equipment for local dispatching requirements,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the system design and proposed
equipment configuration as outlined in the report of-the North Star Re-
search and Development Institute be accepted in principle and that the staff
of each of the participants be directed to continue the planing endeavor
preparatory to the issuance of formal plans and specifications.
Passed by the city council of the city of Richfield-this .26th day of
