RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID ON STREET SWEEPER
WHEftEA.S, the City of Richfield has taken competitive bids fox the purchase of a
Street Sweeper, and
WHEREAS, various types of equipment on which bids have been submitted vary
significally an such matters as design, ease of operation, reliability, maintenances
and other such matters.
NOW THER~E'ORE; BE TT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of ft3.chfield~ as
follows:
1. It is hereby determined that there are sign3.ficant variations in the Street
Sweepers on which bids have been submitted, such differences relating to such matters
as design, ease of operation, reliability, maintenance and other such matters. It is
further determined that such equipment is not capable of being desceibed in items with
act specifications.
2. It is hereby determined that the Street Sweeper bid of McQueen Equipments Inc.
for the sum of $12,990.00 wi11 provide the City with an item of equipment which will
be most satisfactory to the City from the standpoint of designs ease of operation'
reliability, maintenance, quality, adaptability' and suitability for the needs of the
City. By reason of the foregoinge the City hereby accepts the bid of McQueen, Inc.
for $12,990Q00 as the lowest bid for this type of equipment.
