RESOLUTION 'NO.. 3602
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
PUBLIC RECORDS
WHEREAS, M.S.A. 465.63 authorizes t$e destruction o~ certain city records
more than seven years old, and
Wl~REAS, The city clerk is required to keep the foliow~.ng records:
~1) A minute book noting therein all proceedings of the council,
(2) An ordinance b~k .in .which he shall record at length all
ordinances passed by the council.
~3~ A finance book in which. he shall enter al,l the money transac-
tions of the city including the d~.tes and amounts of all
receipts and the person from whom the money was received,
and of all orders drawn upon the treasurer with their payees
and objects.
T+!~REAS, A list of records is hereby presented to the council with a request
that the destruction be approved by the council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Richfield,
Minnesota:
1. The clerk treasurer is hereby authorrized .and directed to
destroy the following classes- of records described in the
list submitted to the councils
a) Ali orders and checks dated to January 1, 1959.
b) Aii receipts and correspondence dated to January 1, 1959.
c) Ali verified accounts and vouchers dated to January 1, 1959.
d) Ali inspection records, with the exception of building permits,
dated to January 1, 1959.
e) All homestead applications dated to January 1, 1965.
f) All Temporary Improvement Bonds as foilows•;
Series 1, Bond Nos. 1/100, $1000 denominations.
