RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF PROPERTY TO THE COUNTY OF
HENNEPIN.
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain tracts of land in the Legion Lake basin,
which are included in the proposed right-of-way of County Highway No. 62, and
WFI.EREAS~ such tracts of land are in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota,
and are legally described as follows, to-wit:
"Tract A~~ - That part of the following described tracts
That part of west 1/2 of Northwest 1/!J. of Section 26, Township 28, Range 24, described
as follows: Beginning at a point indicated by a stone monument at Northwest corner of
Section 26; trance Easterly along North boundary of Sectien 26 a distance of 318.25
feet to judicial landmark; thence Southerly a distance of 455.625 feet on a straight
line which if produced, would intersect a judicial landmark 657.625 feet South of North
boundary line of said Section, measured along said produced line and 953.97 feet West
of a judicial landmark on North and South center line of Northwest 1/!1 of Section 26;
thence West .parallel with North boundary line of said Section 26 to West boundary line
of said Section; thence North along the West boundary line of said Section to point of
beginning; subject to right of way for road along Westerly 33 feet of said tract, being
registered land as evidenced by Certificate of Title No. 168098,
which lies Northwesterly of the following described line:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 26, Township 28, Range 24; thence East
along the Nort~~h line of said Section 26 to the intersection with a line parallel with
and 33.0 feet East of the West line of said Section 26; thence South along said parallel
line a distance of 190.0 feet to the actual point of beginning of the line to be des-
cribed; thence Northeasterly on a straight line to a point l~~.1.0 feet East and 135.0
feet South of the Northwest corner of said Section 26 and there terminating and

Tract 1:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Northeast ~ of the Northwest 4 (NEB N~T4) of
Section 26, Township 28, Range 2G., thence East along the South line of the Northeast 4
of the Northwest ~ (NEB NtnT~) of said Section to a point 100 feet West of the center
line of Tenth Avenue South extended; thence Northeasterly to a point in the center line
of Eleventh Avenue South extended 300 feet North of the South line of said Northeast 4
of the Northwest ~ (NEB NGJ4); thence North along the oenter lane of Eleventh Avenue
South extended 359.17.2 feet; thence Northwesterly to a. point in the East line of the

feet Sotttr of the North line of said Section; thence South to the Southeast corner of

Tract 2t
The East 3/l~Th of the North half (1/2) of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
(Nw~ Nw4) and also the West 1/2 of the Northwest 1/1.~ of the Northeast 1/1~. of the
Northwest l/CI. (Wa NW4 NE4 Nw~) all in Section 26, Township 28, Range 2~.~
which lies Northwesterly and Northerly of the following described line:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 26, Township 28, Range 2l~; thence East
along the North line of said Section 26 to the intersection with a line parallel with
and 33.0 feet East of the West line of said Section 26; thence South along said
parallel line a distance of 190.0 feet to the actual point o.f beginning of the line to
be described; thence Northeasterly on a straight line to a point l~.1.0 feet East and
135.0 feet South of the Northwest corner of said Section 26; thence East parallel with
the North lire of said Section 26 a distance of 1500.0 fe?t, and there terminatings and
WHEREAS, the County of Hennepin and the City of Richfield has negotiated for the
sale of such tracts of land to the County of Hennepin for such right-of-way highway,
ands
WHEREAS, the County of Hennepin has agreed to pay the total sum of ~~.,987.50
for such tracts of lands and
WHFRF1AS, it appears to this Council that such consideration is a full and fair
consideration for such tracts of land and that it is in the bast interest of the City
of Richfield to accept such offer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Richfield as
follows:
1. The sale of the tracts of land hereinabove described by the City of Richfield
to the Cour_ty of Hennepin for the sum of ~t~,987.50, is hereby approvedo
2. The Mayor, Manager, Finance Director, and Attorney are hereby authorized and
directed to take such steps as may be necessary to complete the sale of such tracts
to the County of Hennepin in accordance with this resolutions.
3. The manias derived from the sale of such tracts of land shall be deposited in
the General Fund.
