RESOLUTION No. 3319
REQUESTING HEARING BY COUNTY BOARD ON 1965 HENNEPIN
COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL BUDGET.
WHEREAS, The Board of Hennepin County Commissioners, acting pursuant to the
proroisions of Minnesota Laws, 1963, Chapter ?38, Section 3, Sub-division 3, has
submitted its budget for the operation of Hennepin County General Ho ~ital for
the year 1965, such budget having been submitted on Sept ember 22, 1961:x, and
W.HEftEAgy The legality of certain actions of the County in the preparation of
the 1961 budget ha~+ been and are now being challenged in a court proceeding, and
'WHEREAS, One of the disputed practices employed in the preparation of the
196l~ budget has also been employed in the preparation of the 1965 budget in that
certain so called "Educational Expenses" are not allocated but are levied against
the county at large and on an ad valorem tax basis, and
WHEREAS, This village desires to be heard concerning this and other items
in such 1965 budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Richfield, Hennepin County, Minnesota, as follows
1. The Board of Hennepin County Commissioners is hereby requested to review
its determinations concerning the allocation of educational expense in the-1965
Hennepin County General Hospital budget and to fix a time and .place for a hearing
thereon and to cause notice of such hearing to be mailed to the Clerk of each town
and municipality within the county not less than ten (10) days in advance of the
hearing as provided by law.
2. Let a copy of this resolution be transmitted to. the Board of Hennepin
County Commissioners.
Passed by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County
Minnesota, this 26th day of October 1964.
