RESOLUTION ADOPTING ,ASSESSMENT OF VILLAGE PROJECT N0. 185 ~~
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield9 Hennepin County9
Minnesota, as follows o
1. That the village clerk has, with the assistance of the vil.l.age engineer' calculated
the proper amounts to be assessed for the sidewalk construction9 Village Project No. 185
against every assessable lot9 piece„ or parcel of land specially benefited thereby
iri accordance with the provisions of law and the proposed assessment so made up was
filed with the village clerk for more thin 15 days prior to the assessment hearing and
was open to public inspection during said period.
2. That notice has been duly published and a public hearing heretofore duly held as
requ3.red by law so that this council could meet and pass upon the proposed assessment.
3. That an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their ob-
jections. if anya to such propased assessment or to any item thereof at said public
hearing.
!~. That the village council has heretofore duly establish®d Village Project No. 185
and after carefully considering all the facts9 the b9nefits to each lot, piece or
parcel of land and fully advising itself 3.n the preiuises, has found and determined and
hereby declares that a ach and every lot9 piece, or parcel of land included 3.n said pro-
posed assessment roll was improved by reason of the construction of said Village Project
No. 185 and has b3en and is specially benefited in the amount set out in said proposed
assessment roll. opposite ®ach such lot9 piece or parcel of land.
5. The propased total assessment in the amount of ~llt925?.7~. is hereby affirmed9
adopted9 and confirmed and the sums fi.~ed and named. in said proposed assessment az'e
affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said lots'
pieces9 or parcels of land respectively9 and said amount so set out is hereby levied
against each of the respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land therein described.
b. Said assessment is hereby aff3.rmed9 adopted, confirm®d and shall be certified by
the village clerk and filed 3.n his office, and shall thereupon be and constitute the
special assessment for said sidewalk construction9 Village Project No. i~85.
7. The assessment with accru3.ng interest9 shall be a lien upon the property included
therein, concurrent with general taxes9 and shall. be payable 3.n equal annual install-
ments extending over a period of 5 years9 the first installment shall be payable on
the first Monday in January of 1965. Rill assessments shall bear interest at the rate
of 6~ per annum. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire
assessment from the date of this resolution until December 319 1965. To each subse-
quent installment shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
X111. assessments and interest thereon shall be collected a nd paid-over in the same
manner as other municipal taxes.
