RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE Il~IPROVEMENT AND USE OF PARK PROPERTIES

BE IT RESOLVED by' the Village Council of the Village of Richfield as follows
1. Permission is hereby given to the Richfield American Little League, Inca
a Corporation, to improve and use certain park properties in this village in
accordance with.the terms of this resolutionm
2. The tract of land which shall be the subject of this. permission is des-
cribed as follows
Four existing ball f3:elds in Lincoln Field except 90~ x 254 in
SE corners
Two existing ba7.1 fields in Monroe Field.
3. This permission shall be for th® term of one year, i.e., the cal®ndar year
1g6t~. The permission herein granted shall not. co nstitute a permit to the exclusive
use of the area above described, but shall constitute permission on a priority basis
in consideration of the improvements of said preperty to be made by the Richfield
A..merican Little Leagues Inc. 'Nhen said premix®s are not being used by said corpor-
ation, they may be used by other groups and organizations within the Village of
Richfield, sub3ect to such limitations as the v111age may impose. The village shall
undertake to impose regulations if necessary, so as to safeguard the improvements
which are put on said premises by the Richfield American Little League, Inc®, but
the village shall not guarantee that such improvements will not be damaged by persons
acting without ~.uthority of the vf.llage.
1~. The permission herein granted shall be subject to an agreement in writing
by the Richfield American Little League, Inc. that it will conform to the following
regulations
A. The permission granted is for the use of said premises for athletic
playing fields for the youth of the village together with incidental facilia
ties and roadways, for the construction and location upon said premises of
a Little League size baseball diamond, together with temporary structures
such as backstops portable stands and benches, portable dugouts9 removab~.e
concession stands, removable boundary fences suitable for advertising pla-
cards or signs which may be affixed theretoe
B. Said premises shall be used by the Richfield American Little League
Inc. solely for baseball events of that organization, including practice
sessions.
C. All income incidental to said use of the premises including admission
charges or contributions, parking fees, concession stand operations, advertising
revenue, etc., shall be devoted solely to the promotion of athletic events for
youth.
D. A11 improvements to be made upon said premises shall be in accordance with
the plans to be submitted to and approved by the Village Manager of the Village
of Richfield.

E® All construction shall be performed without any charge made by the
Richfield American Little League, Inc. ar~ainst the Village of Richfield and
the Richfield Am®rican Little Leagues Snc. shall hald and save harml.ess~the
Village of Richfield from any and all claime9 liens or liability which may
arise from the construction hereinbefore mentioned and from claims for labor
or material involved in the improv®ment of the above described premises,
All structures oha~.l be removable and sha11 be removed at the termination of
this permission.
F. The said premises shall be kept free from debris weeds and refuse of
all kinds.
Cr. The Richfield American Little Leagues Inc. shall obey any ordinances;
of the Village of Richfield relating to the uee of the property or conduct
of persons upon the property and shall obtain whatever Licenses-may be
necessary in order to comply with any law or regulation of the village or
any other governmental organi~ation.~
H. The Richfield American Little Leagues Tnc. shall indemn3.fy and hold
harmless the Village of Richfield from liability or claim of liability from
what®ver cause of loess damage or injury to persons or property on or about
the demised premises by reason of or in connection with the aetiv~ities of the
Richfield American Little Leagues Inc, ~.nd the village shall not be liable
to the- Richfield` American Little Leagues Tnc. to any extent nor will any said
organisation make any claim against the Village of Richfield for or on ace®unt
of loss or damage to said premises or the improvements facilities or struc-
tures thereon. Th® permission granted shall not be assignable to any other
party wl.thout the express consent of the Village Gouncil of the Village of
Richfield.
5. Upon receipt of a signed agreement from the appropriate officers of the
Richfield American Little Leagues Ines agreeing to the .foregoing regulations
this permit shall be effective and a substantial breach of the foregoing regulations
shall constitute a basis for revoking the permission granted,
