RBSOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING ADJUS D~TT OF BXPBNSBS IN

4~IBREAS, the Village of Richf ieid has been engaged in and is presently engaged
in the cons traction of water mains throughout the village, and
Wi~RB~lS, the cons traction of such water mains is being accomplished under a
number of .,different contracts, which contracts relate to particular village
pro jet is , and
4~HEREAS, such water main construction has resulted in the damaging or destruc~
tion of street surfaces, and
~9HSREAS, the Public Works Department of the village has been engage8 in the
repair atxl replacement of such damaged and destroyed street surfaces, and
WHBRBAS, such resurfacing work would ordinarily be considered to be a part of
the 1963 viliage~ide street improvement program, and
't~iBREAS, the wide spread construction of water mains throughout the village has
necessitated the extensive use of street equipment to repair and replace such
street surfaces, and
WHEREAS, it appears to this council that the cost of operation and repair of
street equipment is an expense which is necessary and incidental to the con®
struction of the water nm,ins g
NOW THBREPORE, be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Richf ie1d,
Hennepin County, Minnesota, as f oilowss
1. i t is hereby determined that from Juiy 1st to Oct. 31st, 1963, the exm
pease of operation and repair of street equipment used in restoring street_surm
faces; where water mains have been constructed is an expense in the amount ®f
$2,324,6a which is necessary and incidental to the respective-water main proms
jects involved.
~2. The vilia,ge manager and adminis trative staff are, therefore, authorized
end directed to charge such experm a of street equipment used against the respective
water main construction project involved, and to pay .the cost of stitch expenses
from the respective construction funds of such water main projects.
