1962-2811r95 1 RESOLUTION No. 2811 RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR SPECIAL JUDGE OF MUNICIPAL COURT 1 1 WHEREAS, the Village of Richfield established a Municipal Court by resolution of the Village Council, passed on the 29th day of November, 19l~3, and WHEREAS,, such resolution provided that such court should be presided over by one judge, and WHEREAS, the Municipal Court so established is now governed by the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter X88, and WHEREAS, the provisions of Mixane.sota Statutes, Section 188.03, subd. 3, Permits the governing body of a v1.]lage to provide, by resolution, f©r the number of judges of the Municipal Court, and . WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section x.$8.06 confers upon the governing body of a village the power to determine:- the number of judges and permits the designation of one judge as a special municipal fudge to act in the absence.,. disability or disquali- fication of the municipal-judge, and WHEREAS' it has been made- to appear that there is a need far a special municipal judge for the Municipal Court o~ the Vi7.lage of Richfield; NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village Council of. the V3.7.lage of Richfield, as follows 1. Tt is hereby determined that, in addition to one .regular municipal judge of the Municipal Court of this v3:llage~ there' shall be one additional judges who is Yiereby desz:griated to be a Special Municipal Judge, to act only in the absence, disability or d3.squalification of the municipal judge. 2. The compensati..i~n of such Special Municipal Judge shall be as provided by statute and shall be charged against the salary budget of the Municipal Court.
