RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHIEF OF POLICE TO ASSIGN POLICE OFFICERS:
TO MUNICIPAL COURT AS COURT OFFICERSd
WHEREASa the provisions of the Minnesota Statutes' Section ~,~~.119 provides
for court officers9 not exceeding three in numbers to assist in the conduct
of the Municipal Court and provides that such officers may be policemens
NOW 9'HEREFORE9 BE IT RESOLVED by the Va.llage Council of the Vil.3.age of
Richfieide Hennepin County' Minnesotan as followss -
l. The Chief of Police is authorizeds from,, time . to times to appoint
police officers ~ of the village to serve in the-.,capacity of .court officers of the
Municipal Courto
'2o The.number of such officers so assigned. shall be at least-one -and not
more than thr®e. The designation of.poliae officers to serve as court officers
sha11 be made after consultation with the Village N~anager.
3. For the purpose of determinin~g•.conditions of employment of a: court
officer the person serving in such capacity sha7.1 be deemed .on duty as a police
officer. The salary of police officers serving as. court officers shall be
allocated between the police department and the municipal court in proportion
to the time spent.
4. A bond: conditioned upon the faithful. performance of the duties of the
officers designated by the Chief of Polices dated. s1962a is
hereby approved. ~ - -
