RESOLUTION RELATING TO EXPENSES OF OVERTIME LABOR ON RESURFACING ~'
STREETS..
~IiEREAS, the Village of Richfield .has been. engaged in and is presently engaged
in the construction of water mains throughout the v3.llage, and
~1fiEREAS, the construction of such water mains is being accomplished under a.
number of different contracts, which contracts relate to particular village projects,
and
WHEREAS, such water. main construction. has resulted. in the damaging or destruc~
tion of street surfaces, and
~r?HERFAS, the Public Works.~3epartment of the village. has been engaged and will
in-the future be engaged in the repair and replacement of such daYnaged and destroyed
street surfaces, and
WHEREAS, such resurfacing work would ordinarily be considered to be a paxt of
the 1962 vills~ge~wide street improvement program, and
WHEREAS, the wide spread construction of water mains throughout the v3.llage has
necessit?.ted the extensive uee of overtime labor to repair ark replace such street
surfaces, and
't~IEREAS, it appears to this Council that the cost of such overtime labor is an
expense which is necessary and incidental to the construction of the water mair~~
NOt~ THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Village Council of the 'Village of Richfielda

1. It is hereby determined that. the expense of overtime labor used in restoria~g
street s~zrfaces where water mains..have been or will be constructed is an expense which
is necessary and incidental to the respective water ma3.n projects 3.mrolved.
~. The vl.llage manager .and administrative staff are,. therefor, authorised and
~lirectec~ to charge the expense of such overtime labor against the respective water
main construction project imrolved, and to pay the cost of such overtime labor fry
the respective construction funds of such water main pro3ects.
