RESOLUTION OPPOSING DISCONTINUANCE OF SO CALIED f'OWL"`
BUS SERVICE
'WHEREAS, the Minnesota Railroad and Warehouse Commission has set a hear3.ng
for Tuesday, December 19, 1961, at 9:30 A.M®' for the purpose of considering
whether the Saturday, Sunday, and "OWL" Service (midnight to 6:oO AeM.) should
be discontinued by Twin City Motor Bus Comparjy9
- NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Richfield, Hennepin County' Minnesota, as follows:
1. This council herewith records its objection to the discontinuation or
curtailment of at~,y such service as the same is presently provided in the Village
of Richfield or a.d3acent to the Village of Richfield in the City of Minneapolis,
it appearing to this council that the curtailing or discontinuing of such service
would be contrary to public convenience and necessity and would create extreme
hardship to the residents of the Village of ~tichfield who use such serv3.ce.
2. The Vi17_age Manager is hereby authorized and directed to provide the
Secretary of the Railroad and Warehouse Commission of the State of Minnesota with
a certified capy of this resolution.
