RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON VILLAGE PRQTEOT N0. 107
BE IT RESOLVED by the village co2~.ncil of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County,
Minnesota, asfollowss
1. That the village clerk has, with the assistance of the village engin®er, calculated
the proper amounts to b® assessed for the construction of storm sewer, Village Project
No. l~07, against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land specially benefited
thereby in accordance with the provisions of law, and the proposed assessment so made
up was-filed with the village clerk for more-than 15 days prior to the assessment hearing
and was open to public inspection at all times during said period.
2. That notice has been duly published and a public hearing heretofore duly held as
required by law so that this council could meet and pass upon the proposed assessment.
3. That an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their ob-
ject~.ons, if any, to such proposed assessment or to any item thereof at said public
hearing,
!~. That the village council has heretofore duly established Village Project No. l~07,
and after carefully consider3.ng all the facts, the benefits to each lot, piece or
parcel of land and fully advising itself in the premises, has found and determined and
hereby declares that each and every lot, piece, or parcel of land included 3.n said
proposed assessment ro7.1. was improved by reason of the construction of said Village
Project No. 407 and has been and is specially benefited in the amount set out in said
proposed assessment roll opposite each such lot, piece or parcel of land.
5. The proposed total assessment in the amount 'of ~219l~13.87 is hereby affirmed,
adopted, and confirmed and the sums fixed and named in said proposed assessment are
affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said
lots, pieces, or parcels of land respectively, and said amount so set out is hereby
levied against each of the respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land therein described.
6. Said assessment is hereby+ affirmed, adopted, confirmed and shall be certified by
the village clerk and filed in his office, and shall thereupon be and constitute the
specatal assessment for said storm sewer construction, Village Project No. t~07.
7. The assessment with accruing interest, shall be a lien upon the property included
therein, concurrent with general taxes, and shall be payable in equal annual install-
ments extending over a period of 20 years. The first installment shall be payable on
the first Monday in January of 1862. x,11 assessments shall bear interest at the rate
of 6~ per annum. To .the first installment shall be added interest on the entire
assessment from tho date of this resolution until .December 31, 1962. To each subse-
quent installment shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid iristal7~nents.
All assessments and interest thereon shall be collected and paid-over in the same
manner as other municipal taxes.
