RESOLUTION N0. 2599 ,
RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT ON VILLAGE PROJECT N0. 387C
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village council of the Village of Richfield9 Hennepin County
Minnesota, as followsa
1. That the village clerk has, with the assistance of the village engineer9 ea~culated
the proper amounts to be assessed for the construction of street lighting system9 Vil-
lage Project No. 387C against every assessable lots pieces or parcel of land specially
benefited thereby in accordance with the provisions of law9 and the proposed assessment
so made up was filed with the village clerk for more than 15 days prior to the assess-
ment hearing and was open to public inspection at all times during said period.
2, That notice has been duly published and a public h®aring h®retofore duly held as
required by law so that this council could meet and pass upon the proposed assessment,
3. That an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their ob~
~ect~.onse if any' to such proposed assessment or to any item thereof at said public
hearing.
!~. That the village council has heretofore duly established Village Project No, 387C,
and after carefully considering a11. the facts the be nefits to each lot' piece or
parcel of land and fully advising itself in the premisesp has found and determined and
hereby declares that each and every lot' pie ce, or parcel of land included jn said pro-
posed assessment roll was improved by reason of the construction of said Village Pro3ect
No. 3870 and has been and is specially benefited in the amount set out in said proposed
assessment roll opposite each such lot, piece or parcel of land0
5. The proposed total assessment in the amount of X17,667,53 is hereby affirmed
adopteds and confirmed and the sums fixed and named, in said proposed assessment are
affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said lots,
pieces, or parcels of land raspectively9 and said amount so set out is hereby levied
against each of the respective lots' piecesa or parcels of land therein described.
6, Said assessment is hereby affirmed9 adopted confirmed and sha71 be cert3.fie d by
the village clerk and filed in his office, and shall thereupon be and constitute the
special assessment for said street lighting system construction9 Village Pro3ect No. 3870.
7. The assessment with accruing interest9 shall be a lien upon the property included
therein, concurrent with general taxes and shall be payable iri equal annual install-
ments extending over a period of ~~5 years. The first installment shall be payable on
the first Monday in January of 19b2, All assessments shall bear interest at the rate
of ~~' per annum. To.the first installment shall be add®d interest on the entire
assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1962, To each subse-
quent install.m®nt shall be added inter®st for one year on all unpaid i~astallm®nts.
All assessrr~ nts and interest thereon shall be collected and paid>over in the same
manner as other municipal taxes.
