RESOLUTION ADOPTYNG ASSESSMBNT ON VILLAGE PROJ~T NO. 394
BPi IT RESOLYBD by the village council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin Coun$j,
Minnesota, a~ follows:
l® That the village clerk has, with the assistance of the village engineer, caicu~,~ted
the proper amounts to be assessed for the construction of storm sewer, Village Paso jest
No. 394, against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land specially-benefited
thereby in accordance with the provisions of law, and the proposed assessment so >ba.de up
was filed with the village clerk for more than 15 days prior to the assessment heasi ng
and was open to public inspection a t all times during said period,
20 That notice has- been duly published and a public hearing heretofore duly held as
required by law so that this council could meet and pass upon the proposed assessment.
3. That a_n oppottunity has been given to all interested persons to present their ob m
jections, if any, to such proposed assessment or to any ~.tem thereof at said public
hearing.
4, That the village council has heretofore duly established Village Project No. 3 94,
and after easefully considering all the facts, the benefits to each lot, piece or
parcel of land and fully advising itself in the premises, hasfound and determined and
hereby declares that each and every lot, piece, or parcel of land included in s aid prom
posed assessment roll was improved by reason of the construction of said Village Project
No0 394 and has been and is specially benefited in the amount set out in said proposed
assessment roll opposite each such lot, piece or parcel of land,
50 The proposed total assessment in the amount of $8,900014 is hereby affirmedg
adopted,-and eonf armed and the sums fixed and named in said proposed assessment are
affirmed, adopted and confirmed as the proper special assessment for each of said
lots, pieces, or parcels of land respectively, and said amount so set out is hereby
levied against each of the respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land therein described,
60 Said assessment is hereby affirmed, adopted, conf armed and shall be certified by
the village clerk and filed in his office, and shall thereupon be and constitute the
special-assessment for said storm sewer construction, Village Project No0 394®
70 The assessment with accruing interest, shall be a lien upon the property included
therein, concurrent with general taxes, and shall be payble in equal annual install
meats extending over a period of 20 years. The first installment shall be payable
on the first Monday in January of 1962, All assessments shall bear interest at-the
rate of 6~ per annum. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire
assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 19b20 To each subsem
quent installment shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
A11 assessments and interest thereon shall. be colledted and paid over in the same
manner as other municipal taxes.
