1961-2446r~~ RESOLUTION Noo 2~6 RESOLUTION AUTHORISING PURCHASE OF PREMISES AT ?02 Eo 66th STREET WHERf;.~~S, the Village has acquired ~ other property in the vicinity of ?02 East 66th Street for park purposes, and such premises are one of only two remaining tracts not yet acquired by the Village, 8nd WI~REAS, such premises include a residential lot with a residence thereon, a-buildable vacant lot adjacent to said residence and a small greenhouse, and AREAS, said premises also have located on them a number of items of nursery stock which drill have to be removed by the owners in order to preserve their value,. at substantial expense to the owndrs, which moving expense is compensable under condemnation laws of the State of i+~innesota, if such property is to remain the property of the owners a and WHEREAS, the owners of said props rty have used the property as a location for a non®conforming commercial. nursery business-e awhich has had the effect of adding to the intrinsic value of said premises, and - W~REAS, the owners of said premises have now agreed to sell, the same to the Village voiuntaril~r in accordance with the provisions of an earnest money contracts a copy of which is now udder consideration by this l~ouncil~ NOW, THEREFORE'9 be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, as follows . la The said proposed purchase agreement (earnest money contract) is hereby given ClerkBS File Noo G o 63?® '`~ and ordered to be placed on filed ~,~ 20 It is-hereby determined to be necessary and expedient to the public heaths safety, conveniences prosperity and general welfare to acquire9 ~~ for park and other municipal purposess the premises described in said purm _chase agreement, commonly known as X702 Ee 66th Streets"' in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned purchase agreementA 3o The mayor and manager are hereby authorized and directed to execute said purchase agreement for and on behalf of the Villages and the m$yore manager, finance director and attorney-are hereby authorized and directed to take such steps as may be necessary to consummate the purchase of said premi~ ses in accordance with said agreemento 4o All monies payable as part~of the purchase price of said properties shall be paid out of and charged against the Public Works Reserve Fundo Passed day of April, by the Village Council of the Yillaae of itichf field this loth 1961.
