RESOLUTION RELATING TC PURCHASE OF LAND AT 6445
PORTLAND AVENUE
BE IT RBSOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Richfield as followsg
1. It is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient for the public
health, safety, convenience, prosperity and general welfare to acquire for park
and other municipal purposes, the property known as 6445 Portland Ave, in the
Village of Richfield, consisting of a tract of is~nd being 150 feet in width north
and south and 964.125 feet in length east and west, which premises are designated
as ParceY No. 3400 in Section 26, Township 28, Range 24 and which premises: are more
particularly described in Certificate of Title No. 238520.
2. The owners of .said premises having offered and agreed to convey the
same to the Village of Richfield for the sum of $12,000 pursuant to the terms
of a purchase agreement dated August 3, 1959, said offer is hereby determined
to be a fair and reasonable offer and the same is hereby accepted.
3. A copy of said purchase agreement is hereby given.Clerk*s File No.
5562 and ordered to be placed on file.
4. The mayor and manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
said agreement for and vn behalf of the Village of Richf ieid, and the mayor,
manager, finance officer and attorney are hereby authorized and directed to take
such steps as may be necessary to effect the purchase of said property in accord-
ance with the terms of said agreement.
5. .4,11 sums payable pursuant to provisions of said agreement shall be
charged against and paid out of the Park Fund and ail such monies as are neces-
sary shall be transferred from surplus monies of the Liquor Store Funds
Passed by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield this 10th day of
august, 1959.
