RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSES SNIENT ON VILLAGE PROJECT N0. 359
BE IT' RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County,
M3.nnesota, as follows s
1• That the Village Clerk has, with the assistance of the Village Engineer, calculated
the proper amounts to be assessed for the construction of Storm Sewer, Village Pro3eet
No, X59, against every assessable lot, piece, or parcel of land specially benefited
thereby in aecardance with the provisions of law, and the proposed assessment sa made
up was filed with the V3.11age Clerk for more thin 15 days prior to the assessment hear-
ing and was open to public inspection at all times dur3.ng said period.
2. That notice has been duly published and a public hear3.ng heretofore duly held as
required by law so that this council could meet and pass upon the proposed assessment.
3, That an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their
objections, if any, to such proposed assessment or to any item thereof at said public
'hearing.
!~. That the Village council has heretofore duly established Village Probe et No. 359,
and. after carefully considering all the facts, the benefits to each lot, piece or
parcel of land-and fully advising itself in the premises, has found and determined and
hereby declares that each and every lot, piece, or paroel of land included i.n said
proposed assessment roll was improved by reason of the construction of said V311age
Project No. 359 and has been and is specially benefited in the amount set out in said
proposed assessment roll opposite each such lot, piece or paroel of land.
~. The proposed assessment is hereby affirmed, adopted, and confirmed and .the sums
fixed and named in said proposed assessment are affirmed, adopted and confirmed as
the proper special assessment for each of said lots, pieces, or parcels of land
~. respectively, and said amount so set out is hereby levied against each of the
respective lots, pieces, or parcels of land therein described.
6. Said assessment is hereby affirmed, adapted, confirmed and shall be certified by
the Village clerk and filed in his office, and sha11 thereupon be and constitute the
special assessment for said Storm Sewer Construction, Village Project No. 359.
7. The. assessment with accruing interest, shall be a lien upon the property included
therein, concurrent with general taxes, and shall be payable inequal annual install-
ments extending over a period of 20 years. The f3xst installment sha11 be payable
on the fix~at Monday in January of 1960. A,11 assessments shall bear interest at the
rate of b~ per annum. To the first installment shall be added interest on the entire
assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1960, To each subse-
quent 3.nstaLlment sha11 be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments,
All assessments and interest thereon sha11 be collected and paid-ov®r in th® same
manner as oth®r municipal taxes.
