RESOLUTION FOR DISF'~?SITION OF UNCOLLECTED
- SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS ON PROPERTIES ACQUIRET~
BY STATE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
~iIHHEREAS, provision has been made for the Village of
R~.chfield to collect all unpaid special assessments against
property condemned and acquired for trunk highway purposes,
and
WHEREAS, there are instances through inadvertence and
error by both Hennepin County-and the Pillage of Richfield
where the total .amount of special assessments due were not
eo.~.lected, and
WHEREAS, no provisions have been made to reimburse
ths,sinking funds for .assessments lost as stated above,
NQW TI~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council
of the Village of Richfield, Minnesota:
1. That all original special assessments not collected
ou property condemned and acquired for. trunk highway pur-
poses are hereby cancelled and will be repaid to the sink-
ing--funds b,y ad valorem tax in the same manner as special
assessments on property acquired for Village purposes.
2. That the Manager and F~irector of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to put into e.ff ect the
provisions of this resolution.
Passed by the Village Council of the Village of
Richfield this 22nd. day of June, 1959.
