DISAPPF.OVING THE PROPOSED LAW PRt}VIDING ADDITIONAL BENEFIZS
FOR CERTAIN RETIRED PUBLIC EA~LOYP~+.S RETIItEMENT ASSOCIATION
BENEFICIARIES.APFECTING.VARIOUS AGBI~IBS OF GOVBRNMffiyT IN-
CLUDING THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIIILD H.P. 127, S.F. 122
WHEREAS, H.P. 127, S.F. 122 has been introduced provid-
ing that certain retired members of the Public Employees Re-
tirement Association may receive special benefits which will
be financed by annual levies upon municipalities formerly em-
ploying them.
W1~RBAS, The Village of Richfield through Sts coundl
endorses the principle that Public Employees Retirement Asso-
ciation should be operated on a sound financial basis without
sped al benefits of this kinds therefore
BS IT RHSOLVEU by the Village Council of the Village of
Richfield that proposed 5.F. 122 introduced on May 8th, 1959,
and H.F. 127 introduced on May l2th~ 1959 for submission to the
legislature of the State of Minnesota, be hereby disapproved in
the strongest possible terms and the legislature be memorialized
not to adopt this bill' and the clerk be hereby directed ~~o for-
ward two copies of this resolution to the senator and represen-
tative from this district as our request to oppose strenuously
and in every manner possible work to achieve defeat of 'khis
bill.
