RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE
OF PROPERTY AT 73rd AND XERXES
FOR PARK PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Richfield
as follows:
1. It is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient
to the public health, safety, prosperity, convenience and general
welfare to acquire for park and other municipal purposes the pro-
perty known and described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ? and 8, Block 1 and Outlots
1 and Z of i~.ippe's Lakeview Terrace, according to the
plat thereof on file or of record in the office of
the Register of Deeds, Hennepin County, Minnesot a.

2. Condemnation proceedings having been filed against the
said premises and an appeal from the award by the condemnation
commissioners having been filed by the owners of said premises and
the owners of said premises having now offered to compromise said
condemnation proceeding by the sale of said premises to the village
for the sum of $14,900,
IT IS HEREBY DETERPdINED, that said sum is a fair and reason-
able offer and the same is hereby accepted.
3. The mayor, manager, finance officer and attorney are here-
by authorized and directed to take any and all steps necessary to
effect the purchase of said premises at said price and to effect a
dismissal of the condemnation proceedings and the appeal from the
Commissioners' award.
4. The purchase price and expenses incident to the acquisi-
tion of said properties shall be charged against and paid out of
the Park Fund to be covered by permanent transfer of funds from
surplus monies of the Liquor Store Fund.
Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of ~Zichfield
this 13th day of October, 1958.
