RESOLUTION RELATING TO PURCHASE OF PARR
PROPERTY
BE IT RESOLVED by"the Village Council of the Village of Richfield,,~iennepin
County,. Minnesota, to wit:
'1. It is hereby determined to be expedient to the public health,
safety,. convenience, prosperity and general welfare to acquire for village
purposes the following described tract of land,, to wit:
The Easterly 468.68 feet of the following described tract
of land, to wit:
All that part of the Northwest Qu~.rter {NW4) of the South-
west Quarter (SW4), of Section 34p Township 28, Range 24,
described as follows: Beginning at a point in the west line
of said Section 34 which is 330 feet south of the Northwest
corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of Section 34; thence
East and parallel with the North line of the Southwest Quar-
ter {SW4) of Section 34, 1322.8 feet to the East line of the
Northwest Quarter (NUV4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of
Section 34; thence south along said east line 660 feet; thence
west 1320.4 feet to a point in the West line of said Section
34 which is 660 feet south of the point of beginning; thence
North to the point of beginning, except the East 25 feet
thereof which is,,the'right-of way of Minneapolis,. Northfield
and Southern Railway,. and except the South 4 feet of the
North 334 feet of the Northwest Quarter (NW4)"of the South--
west Quarter (SW4) of Section 34, Township 28r Rare 24.
~ub,ject to highway easement over the West 33 feet.
2. The offer of the owners of said tract to sell the'same to the
Village of Richfield during the year 1957 for the sum of $38,500 is here-
by determined to be a fair and reasonable offer. '
3. A proposed purchase agreement for the purchase of said property
is hereby given Clerk's Pile No. Said agreement is hereby ap-- '
proved. t7pon receipt of properly executed copies thereof by the village,
the Mayor,, Manager and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement for and on behalf of the Village of Richfield and they and
the other administrative officers of the village are hereby authorized and
empowered to take such further steps as may be necessary to effect the pur-
chase of said property in accordance with the provisions of said agreement.
4. All expenditures and expenses made pursuant to this resolution
shall be charged against the Park Fund.
5. The mayor,. manager,. clerk and attorney are hereby authorized to
do all things necessary to effect the provisions of this resolution`
