RESOLUTION NO. 1458
RESOLUTION REIATING TO LOCATION
AND DESIGN OF PROPOSED PUBLIC .SAFETY AND COMMUNITY
BUILDING
WHBREAS,. this Council is informed and believes that the location
of the proposed public safety and community building is of interest to
residents and taxpayers of this village,. and that the proposed location
be designated by formal action of the Council at this time, and
[WHEREAS,. this Council desires to have an expression 'of opinion
from the voters of this Village on the question of 'whether recreational
space should be included in said proposed building„ for the information
and guidance of the Council in the event that the band issue for said
building is authorized..
NOW, THBREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by theVillage Council of the
Village of Richfield as follows:
' 1. The location of the proposed public safety and community build-
ing, if constructed,, is hereby designated to be on the presently owned
village property on the west side of Portland Avenue between 6?th and
68th Streets, with the building facing toward Portland Avenue, i.e.
.. just south of the present village hall.
2. The following question .all be submitted on an advisory ballot,
for the guidance of the council, at the general village election to be
held on December 3, 1957:
SHOULD THE COMMUNITY RBCRFATIONAL SPACE BE LEFT
OUT OP THE PROPOSED PUBLIC SAFETY AND COMMUNITY
BUILDING, SO AS TO REDUCE THE COST THEREOF?
3, The village manager and clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to take such action as may be necessary to give effect to the provisions
hereof .
