1957-1448rxs~ RESOLUTION N0. 1448 INITIAL RESOLUTION FOR ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY AND COM- MUNITY BUILDING AND PROVIDING FO~c SUBMISSION OF QUESTION AT GENERAL ELECTION. BE TT RESOLVED By the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County, Minnesota, as follows: 1. The Village Council of the Village has heretofore investi- gated the facts is order to determine and has determined and does hereby find and declare that it is necessary and expedient for the village to construct a public safety and community building and to provide money therefor by the issuance of the negotiable coupon bonds of the village in an amount of not to exceed $175,000 as authorized by Chapter 475, Minnesota Statutes Annotated. Z. The question of issuing bonds for such purpose shall be sub- mitted to the voters of the village at the general election which is to be held on December 2, 195?, between the hours of 7 A.M. and 8 P.M. the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice_of said election to be given by posting a notice at least ten days prior to the date of said election in three public places in the village and by publishing said notice at least one week prior to the said date in the official newspaper of the village. 3. The Clerk shall cause suitable ballots to be prepared for said election which shall include a question which shall be in sub- stantially the following form: . StIALL THE VILLAGE OF RICHFIELD BOR420W MONEY AND ISSUE ITS NEGOTIABLE COUPON BONDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $175,000 FOR TtiE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING MONEY FOR A [PUBLIC S~iFETY AND COMMUNITY BUILDING? YES NO 4. The election on said question shall be held at the regular polling places in the various precincts heretofore established by the Village Council-and the judges and clerks of said election shall be those persons who have heretofore been appointed by the Village Council. The election shall be conducted in-the manner provided by iaw and the Council shall meet at the Village Hall on Wednesday., December 4, 195?, at 4130 F.M., for the purpose of canvassing said election and deter- ming the results thereof.
