BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield,
Minnesota, as follows
In addition to the authority. conferred upon the Village
Managger by Resolution No. 1263 of this Council, he is hereby authorized
to adjust or cancel special assessments in the following cases, and in
accordance with the following:
1. A parcel of land in this village has been assessed for a
public improvement and such assessment has been certified to the County
Auditor, but there is no known village record of such assessment against
such parcel. The parcel is sold to a near owner and the village receives
a request for a special assessment. search on th.e property in order that
all special assessments may be paid a.n dull when the sale is co~apleted.
A search and report is made by the .village in which the above mentioned
assessment, not shown on village records, is not lisped. After rece3.pt
of this report all assessments listed thereon are paid. Thereafter, thl~
special assessment shown only on county records a~pe.ars on a subsequent
tax statement on the parcel. The assessment now shot~a bb the village

2. Thy Village Manager .shall report to the Village Council
periodically in writing, showing the extent to which special assessments
have been increased, reduced or cancelled pursuant to the authority
conferred by this resolution and Resolution No. 1263, Approval of such
report shall constituxe an approval and confirmation of the actions so
