Hy the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin Cour:ty,, Minnesotae., as follows = 1. This Council herewith declares its opposition to any traffic pattern at Wold Chamberlain Airport, whether recently established or proposed, which has resulted or would result in routing io~v-flying aircraft over residential areas of this co~+eunity without maximum use of the safety zones established at the ends of airport runways. 2. The Council herewith urges the removal of military flying operations from WokYt-Cha+nberia3s~ Airport to some other location or locations as'soon as possible so as to eliminate or at least reduce the nuisance, hazard and detrimental influence which such operations have upon neighboring property: This council recognized the necessi- ty for ar: adequate air defense, but believes that such a defense can be obtained without basing such operations in what has now developed into an integral part of the heavily populate8 metropolitan area,- 3, This Council herewith requests that the Metropolitan Air- ports Commission keep the Village of Richfield fully advised on any future proposed changes in the authorized expansion limits of Vdold- Chamberlain Airport. a. The Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to communicate with the Civil Aeronautics Authority, the Metropolitan Airports Commission, the Senators from Minnesota, the representa- tive from the 3rd Congressional District, and such other persons as are appropriate, stating the position of this council with regard to the foregoing matter.
