RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSIv-ENT ON
VILLAGE PROJECT N0. 316
BE IT RESOLVED BY TfTE VILLAGE COUNCIL of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin County,
~inn.esota, as Follows :
- T. That the Village Clerk has with the assistance of the Village Engineer,
calculated the proper amounts to be assessed for the construction of Village Project
No.'316 consisting of street grading and bituminous sidewalk, against every assessable
lot, piece or parcel of land specially benefited thereby in accordance with the pro-
visions of law, and the proposed assessment so made up was filed with the Village Clerk
for more than 15 days prior to the assessment hearing and was open to public inspection
at all times during said period.
2. That notice has been duly published and a public hearing heretofore duly held
as r®c~uireci by law so that this Council could meet and pass upon the proposed assess-
ment.
3i. That an opportunity has been given to all interested persons to present their
objections, if any, to such proposed assessment or to any item thereof at said public
hearing.
4. The assessment on each of the properties listed•in said assessment roll in the
7100 Block shall be reduced;~o 20~ of the cost of the street grading and bituminous
sidewalk. The assessment of each of the properties listed in said assessment roll in
the 72:00 block shall be reduced to 20f of the cost of the bituminous sidewalk.
5. That the Village Council has heretofore duly established Village Project No.
_ 316 and after carefully considering all the facts, the benefits to each lot, piece or
parcel of land, and fully advising itself in the premises, has found and determined
and hereby declares that each and every lot, piece or parcel of land included in said
proposed assessment roll was improved by reason of the construction of said Village
Project No. 316 and has been and is•specially benefited in the amount set out in said
proposed assessment.roll as amended opposite each such. lot, piece, or parcel of land.
6. The proposed assessment ae amended is hereby affirmed, adopted, and confirmed,
and the sums fixed and named in said proposed assessment as amended are affirmed,
adopted and confirmed as the proper spacial assessment for each of said lots, pieces,
or parcels of land respectively, and said amount so set out is hereby levied against
each of the respective lots, pieces or percale of land therein described.
?. Said assessment as so amended is hereby adopted, confirmed and shall be cer-
tified by the Village Clerk and filed in his office, and shall thereupon be and consti-
tute the special assessment for said street grading and bituminous sidewalk, Village
Project No. 316.
8. The assessment with accruing interest, shall be a lien upon the property
included therein, concurrent with general taxes, and shall be payable in equal annual
installments extending over a period of 20 years. The first installment shall be
payable on the first Monday in January of 1956.. All assessments shall bear interest
at the rate of 6'fo per annum. To the first installment shall be added interest on the
entire assessment from the. date of this Resolution until December 31, 1956.- To each
.subsequent installment shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments..
All assessment~• and interest thereon shall be collected and paid-over in the same
manner as other municipal taxer.,
