WHEftEfaS, the Village of Richfield has approved the plans and specifica-
tions for the improvement of that ~.rt of Trunk Highway No. 50 renumbered as
Trunk Highway No.. 65 within the corporate limits. of the Village of Richfield
from the West 76th St. to-south corporate limits;-and
WHSRE~S in order to obtain Federal aid in the con5tructio~ of said Trunk
Highway No. 50 renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 65, the Bureau of I~ablic Roads
requires the assurance that .the Vi11a~ of Richfield will not suffer and en-
croachment of any nature or kind whatsoever on the right of way of said Trunk
Highway No. 50 renumbered as Trunk highway No.. 65 within the corporate limits
of the said Village of Richfield; and
WHEREAS the Commissioner of Highways desires in the interest of public
safety that al]i parking of vehicles on said trunk highway be parallel with the
curb and at least 20 feet from any crosswalk.
• NOiJ, T HENS BE IT RES OIlU ED that said Village of Richfield does. hereby
agree and covenant that it will never permit or suffer, within Sts corporate
limits, any encroachment of any kind whatsoever, including curb gas pumps and
gas stations' billboards or other structures, of any kind whatsoever upon the
right of wary of Trunk Highway No.. 50 renumbered as Trunk Highway No.. 65 and
to the above end said Village of Richfield hereby agrees that it wi.11 never
issue any license, permit, or grants or give any leave or liberty or any other
consent of whatever form for the construction or maintenance of any encroach-
ment whatsoever, including curb gas, pumps and gas stations, billboards or
other structures of any kind whatsoever, upon said right of way; and that said
Village of Richfield will cooperate insofar as possible to eliminate existing
encroachments constituting traffic hazards and will further take any necessary
action to eliminate any encroachment that may hereafter exist on said trunk
highway right of way; and
BE IT. FU.gT HER RES OLVED that said Village of Richfield does. hereby agree
to require the parking of all vehicles on said trunk highway to be parallel
with the curb and at least twenty (20) feet from any crosswalks on all public
streets intersecting said trunk highway within the corporate ]im~ts of said
Village of Richfield.
