RESOLUTION AUTHQRIZING THE PURCHASE ~ CEE~PAIN
P LC3TS FOR PARK AND DRAINAGE PURPC6ES AND AUTH~t-
TZING A TRANSFER ~' MONTES.
Whereas, the owners of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 1, Anderson-Erichsen
Addition have offered to sell the same to the Village of Richfield for the
sum of X2500,00, and
Whereas, the owners of Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block 2, Anderson-
Erichsen Addition have offered to sell the same to the Village of Richfield
for the sum of X2500000, and
Whereas, portions of .said lots comprise apart of a drainage basin
~. ~ used by the Village of Richfield for the disposal of surface waters ax:d
thQ ra.lance of said lots are desirable for park purposes, and
Whereas, the Village has caused an appraisal of said lots to be
made, on the basis of which it appears that the price at which said lots
are offered is a fair and reasonable one.,
NOliJ THEREFORE, Be it resolved by •the Village Council of the
Village of Richfield as follows:
l.. That i.t is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient to
the public, health, safety, convenience and general welfare to adquire
the above-described lots for the Vil].a.ge of Richfield, for park and.
drainage purses e
2. That it is hereby determined that the above-men-~i.aned offers
to sell said lots are fair and reasonable and the same are hereby ac-
depted on behalf of the Village of Richfield.
~, That the Mayor, Manager, Finance Officer and Attof~zey are here-
by authorized and directed to take any and all steps necessary to effect
the purchase of the said lots in accordance with the aforementioned offer.
1~, That the purchase price of said lots and all expenses incurrred
by the Vi77age of Richfield in connection therewith shall be charged
against the budget of the Fark Fund and that the sum of ~~.,000.00 shall
be transferred from the Liquor Fund to the Park. Fund to provide suffi=
cient funds to effect such purchase.
