WHEREAS, Certain properties hereinafter specified, have been assessed for
and by reason of the construction of Sanitary Sewer Tmgrovement No. 1, rich pro-
perties. are tai thin the authorized expansion and acquisition ]a.ms.ts of Wold-
Chamberlain Airport, and
WH~RE~hS, such properties would be benefitted equally w~.th other . proper-
ties in the Village by reason of said Sewer Trnpresvement No.. It if they. Mere not
within such acgi isition limits, and - ..
WHEREAS ~ the uncertainty which. exists as to .the status of ~ said properties
and their future use makes- it impossible to determine whether such properties
will benefit equally .with other properties throughout the Village bar reason of
the construction-of said sewer improvement, and
TiaHERFAS, the uncertain status of this property makes it impossibly„ _ to
make full use of said sanitary sewer improvement by said properties at this
. time, and
•W~S, said properties are now benefitted by said improvement by at
' least the amounts. hereafter set forth as a special assessment levy against said
properties, and
WHEREAS, it.has been made to appear to this Council that the special
essessmen-ta heretofore made by reason of said sewer improvement against said
properties are excessive and erroneous by reason of the uncertain status of
said properties and
_ WI~EAS s the first ~ nual installment . of such assessments heretofore
levied has fallen due with taxes payable in 1.954, and that certain of said
assessments have been Faid or will be paid in part or in Hills acid that a refund
should be made for Butch assessments which are Haar payable or have been paidy
NOW THEREFORE BE ]T RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Riohf'ield, as followss

1953 acid subsequent years ~ payable with the general. real. p~'ol~~"ty' taxes for
1954, and subsequent years are hereby oancelled~ and that in Zi.eu thex'eof the

3p That t~Ze pillage mayor, manager and finance officer .are hereby
authoi:^ized and directed to make sx ch refunds out of the sinking; fund for Sani-
tary Sewer Improvement No. l., and shall make refund checks ~ payable to .the
persons who have paid such special assessments if ahead laid, or to the persons
who are to pay such assessments and the county treasurer if not already paid.
~.. That the County Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to make such
changes on his assessment roll for said sanitar3r sewer assessments as are herein-
before provided for the second annual irista].~ment and all subsequent installments,
and that the Village. clerk shall certify to him such new assessmen~.as are herein
provided,
