Shove and Kathleeen Shove have instituted legal action against the Village of Richfield for damages to thea.r pro- perty- resulting from a change in fihe grade of 67th Street in the year 1851, and WHEREAS, said pers~ ns have provided the Village with informa- tion as to the value of the propertyr damaged ar destroyed in substantia- tion of their claim, and [^WHREAS, The Village of Richfield has itself had an appraisal of said damage to said proms rty made on behalf of the Villages and WHEREAS, this Council isadvised that if there is damage to said p roperty of said persons as a result of the acts of the Village, as claimed' this Village is liable for any such damage, and t^JHII~EAS, said persons have now offered to settle all their claims against the Village for the sum of ~900.Q0, which this Council, believes to b e a Sus t and equitable settlement of said claim NanT THERF~'ORE, BE IT RF50LVED by the Village Council of the Village of Richfield, Hennepin. Shove and Kathleen Shone for the settlement of their claim against theVil7.age of Richfield is a fair and equitable settlement, and the same is hereby approved and accepted. 2, That the Village Manager, Mayor, Finance Officer and Attorney are hereby authorized and directed to effect such settle- ment and to do such acts and execute such instruments as may be necessary to effect the same..
