Reaolut3.on No. 252, passed by this council on December ]1~~ 1953, a preliminary report on the making of a sanitary sewer lateral improvement {described therein and designated as Village Project No. 22l~) was ordered, and Wf~S, the preliminary report so ordered was received by this council on said date and a public hearing on said improvement was ordered to b® held on December ~, 1953 by Resolut3.on No. 253, and WHEREAS, no such hearing was held becuase of failure of proper notice but such hsar3ng wus reset by actLon of this council for the 25th of Januarys 1951, and WHERE, by Reaolut3on No. 270' passed by this council on December 28, 1953, the G. Ni. Orr Engineering Compa~r was instructed to prepare plans and specifications for said Improvement No. 22~., and WHEREAS, such a pu~7.ic hearing on maid improvement has now bean held on said improveme.n t, and WHERE~iS, said G. M. Orr Engineering Caanpax~p has now presented this Council with plans and apecificat3.ans for the Dons t~ructt.on of said 3.mprovement, which provide for the div3.sion of said project into two pro3ects for the purposes of a dvertising for bids and awarding of oontracts~ which plans are designat~i "Pro3ect No. 22~-1a a,nd~~Pro~ect No. 22l~-2a, and which have bben exaaained .by this council. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Richfie~d~ Hermepin ~ Counter, M3.nnesota, as follows 1. That Village Project No. 221, consisting of sanitary sewer laterals and appurtenances thereto„ as proposed in council resolution No. 252 passed on December 11~, 1953, is hereby ordered to be made, it having been made to appear that it is necessary and expedient to the phblic health, safe, convenience and general welfare that said improvement be made. ®(Res olut9ton No. 282 0on to d. 2. That plans and specifications .for said improvements prepared by the G. M, 0rr Engineering Company, designated as TMPro3ect No. 224-1a and ~~Pro3ect No. 224-2p are hereby approved and sha].1 be filed wa th the Village Clerk and g3,ven Clerks s File Nos. C-1296 and C-1297. 3. That this council will meet at 8 s00 of clock P. M. on Tuesday, February 23, 1954, at the Village Hall in this v3.11age for the purpose of receiving and consider- ing bids for the oonstruct3.on of tk~e work included in, and in accordance with said plans and spec3.ficat3.ons, and for other v3.llage business. 4. That bids for such construction wall be received until 8x00 0~clock P. M. February 23, 1954, and will be publicly opened and considered by the Villagre Council of the Village of Richfield at 8:15 0~clock P. M. cn said date. ~. Copies of~ Proposal Forms, Plans and Specifications for use by coz tractors submitting a bid ma3r b® obtained frnm the Consulting Engineers upon deposit of $50.00 for each project or $100.00 for both projects. This deposit will ~ rued to con tractors who submit a bona fide bid and who return the pl.m~s and specifications ix: good cond3tlon w3.thin fifteen (15) days after the opening of bids. One-half of the amount of the deposit will be refwnded for each of all other sets of documents so returoed. This work will ~ paid for in cash. Partial p~ will be made monthllr equal- to 85~ of the value of the work, including the value of the materials on the ground required in the construction which have been delivered to the site or adjacent .thereto. Sueh payments will b® based upon est~3,mates submitted by the c~tractor monthly showing work completed to date and approved by the F~cgineer and the Village Council.
