WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Highways of the State of I~xmesota is about to desigizate the location of Trunk Highway No. l00 formerly designated as Trunk Highway No. 5, thx+augh th® Village of ~t3.chfield~ as shown upon the general layout plan which is presented herewith and made a part hereof, and WHEREAS, Said Comroi.ssioner of Higlnrays propose to make certain improvements in said trunk highway through said Village of Richfield and is d®signat3sig the general layout and point of access to said trunk highway as shown on the general layout plan. attached hereto, which said plan is presented herewith and made a part of this resolutions and WHEREAS, Said project and said plan, in order to participate 3n federal t1u-ds, require the approval of the Federal Bureau of Public Roads, and WHEREAS, the Federal Bureau of Public Roads requires as a condition precedent to such approvals the assurance and covenant that the Village of ~.chfield will not license or permit hereafter any encroachment of ate' natures including curb gas pumps-or gas stations or billboards op other structures of air kind whatsoever on the right of way of said Trunk Highway No. 100-~ within the car~rate limits of said Village of Hl.cht9.eld as shown upon the plans attached, and TaUIERFd,S, in the furtherance of the public well being and safety it; is desire able and necessary Ito eliminate traffic hasaxds by eliminating any encivachm~ts whatsoever including gas pumps or gas stations or billboa~rde~ or other structures of any kind whatsoever, new or hereafter exist3rig in or upon the said Trunk Highway right of ways and WHER1~.5, said Cammi.ssioner of Highways desires, in the interest of public safetys that all parking of vehicles on said Trunk Highway be para11e1 with the curb and at least 20 feet from any crosswalks at all public streets intersecting said Trunk Highwa3r within the corporate linti.ts of said v~3.llage~ and •, (ResolutLon No. 278 Gon ~ . ~IBREAS, it is to the best irit~rest of said village that all parking of vehicles be para11e1 to the curb; NQA1, THE~E'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that said g~eral layout plan for the locat3.on, improvement and designal3.on of points of access to said trunk highway through said village be and the same is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when plans and specifications of said impirovemml#s. on t~cunk highway No. 100- base been completed and submi.tt~ed to this council in accordance. with the above proposal, the same will b® approved' by further resolution as to general layout plan foxy the locat3.on~ improvement and designation of access points to said trunk high~y provided that detailed design featauws of the construct3.on are sat3.sfactorsr to the ~uncil, ands .
